Een veelvoorkomend thema in het werk van Nikki Selser is de psychologie achter religie. Door schilderijen te maken, begrijpt ze het belang van dit onderwerp. Haar werk is een combinatie van het intuïtieve zicht van een mens en het vakmanschap van een kunstenaar.
Dit jaar richt ze zich op haar onderzoeksproject over iconografie.
Daar leert ze de symbolische betekenis achter visuele taal en de vroege schildertechnieken.
Nikki Selser is in 2018 is afgestudeerd aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in Den Haag.
